Office and Communication Applications
Part of the Vision suite is a range of office and communications applications. These include a practice directory, an intranet editing and publishing system, a web diary, web filing system, web-based practice handbooks and manuals, and text messaging services. Access to all of them can be managed centrally.
No need to spend out extra on office software packages, small business server software and licences, application licences and so on. Most of the facilities provided by other business servers are already included with a Vision System.
If you already run other software like Microsoft Office, Vision is a compatible solution that may be more cost effective.
This feature is accessible from anywhere and can be easily updated within seconds. All users on the network can also view it quickly.
It’s possible to publish, update and maintain practice ‘news’ to keep staff up-to-date – rather like having a virtual notice board. Using the Vision tab system, it’s possible to create mini ‘home pages’ for different teams within the practice e.g. a ‘vets’ page or a ‘nurses’ one.
Vision comes with configurable colour schemes to cater for the individual’s tastes and requirements.
The ability to personalise Vision means that it’s an extremely flexible system, which can be tailored to suit each individual’s specific requirements.
Vision works on Macs, PCs and Linux computers in any combination. There is no need to change any of your terminals as long as they can use modern editions of Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox. Vision is also compatible with handheld devices such as the iPhone.
Vision has a personal and practice web based filing system. This is an easy way to access and share files from any other computer on the network, from home or any computer with an Internet connection. Web access to central filing is across a password protected virtual private network with 128-bit encryption security.
All the practice contacts can be stored centrally for ease of access and are searchable for expediency.
